ZOO Hluboká

The Hluboká Zoo is situated on the banks of the Munický Pond, close to the town of Hluboká nad Vltavou. It was first opened to the public on May 1, 1939. Since then it has undergone many changes, and today it can boast of attractive grounds and a pleasant environment not only for animals, but also for visitors.
The largest South Bohemian zoo specializes in breeding animals from European natural habitats and the temperate zone of Asia. Visitors can of course also admire representatives of South American flora and fauna in the Matamata tropical pavilion, or smaller species of the African continent in the Small Africa expositions.
There is even a playground for children, a restaurant with a view of the nooks of Munický Pond and also fast food and souvenir shop.

The Hluboká ZOO is open 365/366 days of the year, i.e. including all weekends and holidays
Summer season 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Winter season 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
